Power Distance:  The scores of Colombia represents a society that believes that inequalities are normal in people's daily lives. For that reason, an union leader will have a lot of concentrated power. In the same way in Mexico people accept an order in which everybody has a place and which needs no further justification. Individualism:  Both of the countries has highly collectivistic people, belonging to an in-group and aligning yourself with that group’s opinion is very important. In that way Relationships are very important for their societies. Masculinity:  Colombia and Mexico are a Masculine society. They are competitive and status-oriented, this means that competition is directed towards members of other groups. Uncertainty Avoidance:  Mexico and Colombia are too similars in this aspects, this means that as a nation they are seeking mechanisms to avoid ambiguity. An example of this is the religion, ...

At this days Colombia has changed, the old traditions and believes that the woman has to take care of the children is obsolete. Now with the globalization the women have equal opportunities of having a great job as the men. However, in  most of the commercials that are shown on the TV, we can still appreciate some stereotypes that do not help to have a great change in our society. Colombia is not so far from the culture of Mexico. indeed, we could say that both of the countries have a similar history of revolution. Mexico in the old times used to be stereotypical with their gender roles, the man used to maintain the house while the woman takes care of the house. Nowadays we have women and men that fight for their rights, changing the society that we are living.
