The emos are a youth culture emanating from the Mexican middle class, which is characterized by wearing shirts and tube pants, usually black, as well as makeup, combing their hair, wearing a fringe that covers their face and displaying quirky hairstyles.

Skatos:


The skaters are recognized because they paint graffiti on the streets, they wear clothes that is bigger than that they should use, they use baseball, among others,This youth culture derived from the combination of skateboarding and ska music, a musical genre that during the nineties had a boom among young people in the country.

Tribe Zapotec:


They are polytheists, this means that they believe in many gods like, the god of rain, of the sun , of life an death. The women are homemakers, they usually only take care of the family. The men are breadwinners, the task is to maintain their homes. The purity of the woman is too valorated.
When they get marriage the choice of the woman only depends on what their husband decides.

At this days Colombia has changed, the old traditions and believes that the woman has to take care of the children is obsolete. Now with the globalization the women have equal opportunities of having a great job as the men. However, in  most of the commercials that are shown on the TV, we can still appreciate some stereotypes that do not help to have a great change in our society. Colombia is not so far from the culture of Mexico. indeed, we could say that both of the countries have a similar history of revolution. Mexico in the old times used to be stereotypical with their gender roles, the man used to maintain the house while the woman takes care of the house. Nowadays we have women and men that fight for their rights, changing the society that we are living.

Power Distance:  The scores of Colombia represents a society that believes that inequalities are normal in people's daily lives. For that reason, an union leader will have a lot of concentrated power. In the same way in Mexico people accept an order in which everybody has a place and which needs no further justification. Individualism:  Both of the countries has highly collectivistic people, belonging to an in-group and aligning yourself with that group’s opinion is very important. In that way Relationships are very important for their societies. Masculinity:  Colombia and Mexico are a Masculine society. They are competitive and status-oriented, this means that competition is directed towards members of other groups. This is the Lewis model, that shows the different countries and their classification in multi active, linear active and reactive. As we can see Mexico and Colombia are multi active, this means that their people are impulsive, they believes that relationships are very important, the most of the times do not follow agendas, also they are able to do many things at the same time. According to the Lewis model is someone from Mexico comes to Colombia probable it won't feel many differences, because their culture are too similar.
